It's time to switch out your desktop calendar!

I'm so eager to get back in the garden with these 70-degree days. This photo is from last year when our garden phlox was in full bloom. This is a variegated variety with light blueish-purple washes. It's very hardy: it can handle our hot humid summers and doesn't mind poor drainage. I fertilized it with lots of our home-made compost last year, so maybe this year it will multiply and take over the entire bed!
